Tenth Entry: Week of 13 Apr – 19 Apr

- What did you do this past week?
I finished the Darwin project with my partner Murray. I wrote my last paper for my Computational Brain class. I did some reading for my Existentialism class. I attended my lectures for my classes. I watched many YouTube videos. I slept a lot.
- What’s in your way?
Lack of motivation. I’ll be relatively free next week. My only homework assignment due next week is the Algorithms homework and it shouldn’t take me too long to finish it. Also I need to figure out what classes to register for next semester. I really hope next semester won’t be online. I need to make good use of my time.
- What will you do next week?
I will do my Algorithms assignment, find a partner for the next OOP project and start it early. I will also catch up with my Existentialism class because we have our last exam in less than two weeks. I will also continue reading The Plague by Albert Camus.
- What was your experience of r-value references and move semantics? (this question will vary, week to week)
I thought the move semantics was quite confusing. Frankly, I still don’t quite get it. I’ll definitely need to watch the lectures again or go to office hour to understand the material better. Also maybe I didn’t quite understand the class material because I kept getting distracted when I was watching the lecture. I need to learn how to be more focused.
- What made you happy this week?
The One World Together Stay At Home concert made me happy this week. It makes me happy to see that people all around the world can unite together during this turbulent time. Watching people show their love for humanity made me happy.
- What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My tip-of-the-week is to keep a journal. Keeping a journal can let you record everything that has happened to you and make you realize how much you’ve changed over time. You can also put some deep personal thoughts in your journal. Putting your thoughts in words makes you understand yourself more.
